Chosen Family is a short-form digital reality series that follows the everyday chaos of a non-traditional family; a mom, her bonus sons, and the kind of dynamic that only happens when people actually choose each other.

FaceTime calls at midnight. Family trips that almost don't happen. Funny arguments about nothing that somehow mean everything. Inside jokes nobody outside the group understands. Generational clashes. Fashion opinions nobody asked for. Food. Chaos. Real love.

THE HEART OF THE STORY

"He didn't just leave behind a mother who loved him. He left behind a family he had already built."

Jovan was Erika's son, and the reason any of this exists. The boys who are now Erika's bonus sons came into her life through him. They were his people first.
 

When Jovan passed in September 2023, nobody walked away. Some of these young men had already been part of Erika's home for nearly a decade. Others became closer afterward. What could have ended became something that grew. 
 

Chosen Family is not a grief series. But it exists because of him, and because the people he loved chose to stay.
